Ganderbal, Feb 03: The two-day Urs of Saat Saidan Sahib (RA) was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm here at the Rayil area of Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The Urs is celebrated every year on the 10th and 11th dates of the Islamic month of Rajab.
Hundreds of devotees paid a visit to the shrine and took part in day and night prayers. A large number of people from various areas of the Kangan sub-division and the adjoining areas participated in this grand religious congregation. Free langer (kitchen) was organised for devotees.
Moulana Ajaz Ul Haq Ganderbali threw light on the life of the Sufi saint and highlighted his religious services, teachings and spiritual strength.
On the occasion, Haji Abdul Ahad Akhone, the guardian of the Ziyarat Shareef, ensured full arrangements for the peaceful and hassle-free celebration of the Urs.
