The Jammu and Kashmir Police has retrieved an unidentified dead body from an orchard in the Tujan village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was observed wandering in the vicinity and appeared to be in an unsound state of mind.
Police said that the apparent cause of death is believed to be hypothermia, as the region is currently experiencing cold weather conditions.
“The body has been taken to the District Hospital Pulwama for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death,” police said, adding that Rajpora Police Station has initiated inquest proceedings into the incident, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
