Tyndale-Biscoe emerges champions in Under-14 Inter-school Football Tournament

Srinagar, June 06: Tyndale-Biscoe School clinched the championship title in the Under-14 Inter-school Football Tournament, overcoming Delhi Public School, Athwajan with a resounding 4-1 victory in the finals. The tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, was held at Polo Ground, Srinagar, from June 1 to June 6, 2024.
Tyndale-Biscoe’s journey to the finals was marked by strategic victories. After advancing to the quarter-finals due to a walkover in their initial match, Tyndale-Biscoe secured a 2-0 win against Woodland School. On the same day, they triumphed in the semi-finals with a 1-0 victory over Oasis School.
In the highly anticipated final match held on June 6, Tyndale-Biscoe faced Delhi Public School, Srinagar. Tyndale-Biscoe took an early lead with a goal by Daies Waheed in the 12th minute. Delhi Public School equalized in the 22nd minute, ending the first half in a 1-1 draw.
The second half saw Tyndale-Biscoe’s dominance, as Mukees Parvez scored in the 47th minute, followed by two quick goals in the 51st and 58th minutes by Daies Waheed and Mukees Parvez, respectively. The match concluded with a decisive 4-1 victory for Tyndale-Biscoe.
Key players Daies Waheed and Mukees Parvez were instrumental in the final match, each scoring two goals. Their combined efforts and strategic gameplay were pivotal in securing the championship for Tyndale-Biscoe.
Director of Tyndale-Biscoe and Mallinson Society, Parwez Samuel Kaul, congratulated the team for their outstanding performance. Administrator Rahul Rex Kaul praised the students for their discipline and sportsmanship, while Principal Ms. Mabel Yonzon commended their perseverance throughout the tournament.
