Two girls buried alive after avalanche hits Kargil village

Two girls were buried alive after a massive avalanche hit Tangole Village in Kargil district on Sunday, Officials said.

 

An official told Rising Kashmir that the avalanche hit the Tangole Village of Kargil district in which two girl’s were buried alive.

 

Deputy Commissioner Kargil Santosh Sukhdeve told Rising Kashmir that after getting the information of Snow Avalanche from Tangole Village Local administration Police,UTDRF, Mechanical Division Kargil reached the spot and launched a massive rescue operation and after hectic efforts bodies of Two girls recovered from the snow.

 

He said that district administration Kargil will provide immediate relief to the families of two girls who lost their lives in Tangole avalanche.

 

CEO LAHDC Kargil Feroz Khan and other leaders ab z expressed his condolences to the family of the victims & prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased

 

Meanwhile Councillor of Tai Suru, Syed Abass Razvi and Councillor Parkachik Haji Ghulam Mohammad Thanked CEC LAHDC Kargil, DC Kargil, SSP Kargil, Mechanical Division Kargil, Youths of Tangole and Adjooing Areas and Baseej E Baqiyatullah ASZ for immediate response and rescue after the unfortunate avalanche.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that Metrology Department Ladakh has recently issued avalanche warnings after the recent snowfall and asked people to avoid unnecessary wandering in avalanche prone areas.

 

There is prediction of another spell of Snowfall on 30th of January.
