Two faculty members from SKUAST-K make it to top 2% scientists list

Srinagar, Sept 18: Two Scientists from the SKUAST-Kashmir have figured in the global Ranking of Top 2% Scientists” in 2024 database (Published:17 September 2024) created by experts at Stanford University, USA in association with Elsevier BV.
This version (7) is based on the August 1, 2024 snapshot from Scopus, updated to end of citation year 2023.The selection is based on the citation-score or a percentile rank of 2% or above. SKUAST-Kashmir Scientists who featured in the list for the fourth time include two young faces Dr. Shabir Hussain Wani, Assistant Professor, Genetics and Plant Breeding from MRCFC, Khudwani and Dr. Shabir Ahmad Ganai, from Division of basic Science and Humanities. Both the scientists have published their research in high impact international journals.
Dr. Shabir H. Wani has also been honoured with the prestigious Fellow Award in Crop Improvement by the Society of Wheat and Barley Research, ICAR IIWBR Karnal on 12 September 2024.
Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir appreciated both the scientists for their magnificent scholastic endeavor and for improving SKUAST-Kashmir’s global imprint.
