JAMMU, Jan 28: In a tragic accident on Tuesday morning, twelve people were injured when a bus they were traveling in collided with a dumper near Jambo Zoo at Nagrota, Jammu. The incident occurred around 10 am.
The injured included seven men, five women, including children. All the victims were shifted by the Police, with the assistance of locals, to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for treatment.
The bus, which was carrying pilgrims en route to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, were mostly from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of GMC Jammu, confirmed to Rising Kashmir that “the condition of all the injured is stable, and they are all out of danger and responding well to treatment.”
According to police reports, the accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle while traveling on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Jambo Zoo.
The injured have been identified as: Satish Kumar (42), Lucknow; Minto (25), Uttar Pradesh; Manisha (15), Delhi; Sanjana (20), Bareilly; Suraj (32), Lucknow; Urvashi (14), Uttar Pradesh; Abhay (24), Lucknow; Vipin Kumar (24), Uttar Pradesh; Shivam (6), Ghaziabad; Mahi (8), Ghaziabad; Sangeeta (23), Lucknow; Rohit Kumar (25), Lucknow.
