Srinagar, June 12: CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami Monday said that many parts of Jammu and Kashmir are currently facing prolonged power outages, despite the region’s abundant water resources.
In a tweet, Tarigami appealed to the Power Development Department of Jammu and Kashmir (@pddjkofficial) to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. He said the power outages have caused inconvenience among residents who rely on electricity for their daily activities.
“Many parts of J&K are witnessing unannounced and protracted power outages. It is unfortunate that despite having copious water resources, a seamless power supply remains a pipe dream. Appealing to @pddjkofficial to ensure an uninterrupted power supply,” he said in a tweet.
