Srinagar, Feb 19 : The T-10 Cosco Cricket Tournament, organised by Srinagar Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2024-25, concluded successfully at GVEI Gound Illahi Bagh, Srinagar.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various teams across Hazratbal Zone and drew a large crowd of local spectators.

Mr Fardeen Hussain International Gold Medalist Powerlifting and Mr Mehraj Ranji trophy Cricket player graced the occasion as Chief Guests.

SP Hazratbal City Srinagar, SDPO Zakura, SDPO Zadibal and officers of Hazratbal zone were also present.

Prominent members of media fraternity, trade associations, Intizamia Committees, and respected figures from the area were also present at the final ceremony.

The final match was played between Hazratbal 11 and Batpora 11, with Hazratbal 11 emerging as the champions. The winning and runner-up teams, along with outstanding players, were awarded cash prizes, trophies, certificates of participation, cricket bats, and other sports accessories.

Speaking on the occasion, SP City Zone Hazratbal emphasized that J&K Police is committed to engaging with youth through sports activities as a constructive initiative to steer them away from drug abuse.

The event received widespread appreciation from the local community, particularly the youth, who hailed the efforts of the police in promoting positive and healthy engagements in Hazratbal area.
