Srinagar, July 20: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has asked all Chief Educational Officers (CEOs) of the Kashmir Division to submit the enrollment data for private schools from Classes 1st to 8th so that the JKBOSE can print Urdu and Hindi textbooks for the next academic session 2024–25.
An official order issued by the Director School Education Kashmir reads, “As already notified by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) for the implementation of JKBOSE Textbooks by all private schools across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for classes 6th to 8th in the first phase; now, in the second phase, all private schools have to prescribe textbooks published by JKBOSE for all classes from the first onwards.”
“As such, in order to get the textbooks printed for the next session in March 2024–25 as per the requirement for timely availability of these textbooks in the market, you are requested to provide this office with Zone-wise or Class-wise enrollment data for classes 1st–8th of all private schools under your jurisdiction, with bifurcation for the number of students opting for ‘Hindi’ or ‘Urdu’ as per the prescribed format,” the order reads. “The information, duly authenticated, should reach this office by or before June 24, 2023, along with a soft or Excel copy.”
