Budgam, Jan 05: A two month long skill development programme for the girls of Chadoora, organized by 14th BN Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from October 31 to December 31, 2022, concluded here at Walur Work Skills Institute.
A total of 30 girl students from BPL, AAY and PHH category participated in the program in which they were provided training in Computer operation, Tally Software and GST.
H.B.K Singh DIG SHQ (Spl Ops) SSB Srinagar chaired the closing ceremony. On this occasion, Dy. Inspector General (Spl Ops) SSB encouraged the participants and distributed certificates among them. He said that this type of training plays significant role in improving economic condition of local population and promotes women empower in the society.
He also deliberated upon the role of SSB in community welfare programs since deployment in Kashmir Valley on the line of its motto “Seva Suraksha & Bhaichara”.
B.C Joshi, Commandant 14th BN while thanking the participants of concluding ceremony said that such coordinated efforts will certainly increase vocational skills and technical knowledge of girls and help them in empowerment.
The training was started as the initiative of Government of India under HRD scheme at Walur Work Skills Pvt. Ltd. Chadoora, Budgam.
On the occasion, In charge Walur Work Skills Pvt. Ltd explained how their team has conducted the training with extra zeal and effort with support of Sashastra Seema Bal.
Officers of SSB and local dignitaries attended closing ceremony. Jagdish Kumar Sharma, Second –In-Command 14th BN, Raman Lal, Deputy Commandant, Deepak Kumar Asstt. Commandant, parents of the girls, Sarpanch of local villages of Chadoora Sub Division and teachers of Walur Institute and local schools attended the function.
