Srinagar, Nov 14: Syed Shamoon Ahmed Hamdani, a resident of the Srinagar district recently came back from his solo bike ride journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K).
He started his journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in Aril 2022. He completed his journey in July 2022. Hamdani wanted to set a record of his own and proved his mettle by traveling solo on his bike from Kanyakumari and wanted to return from the western side of India.
“Due to unfavorable weather conditions, his route was diverted,” Hamdani said.
My journey is not about traveling from point A to point B. It is all about enjoying the ride and the halts.” He halted at many places to see and understand the diverse cultures and interacted with many schools of thought.
Hamdani said he wanted to try something else, something slower. Just so that I can enjoy the journey more and extend the time, he said.
He traveled through eleven states: Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.
“I was always into traveling and adventure activities. I would wait for weekends to go on treks. I would also go cycling and mountaineering whenever I got the time. I was always fond of bikes too,” he said.
