Katra, June 29: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has achieved a remarkable milestone with Juhi Kumari, a student of the School of Architecture (session 2014-19), being selected by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the prestigious post of Deputy Architect (Group A) in the Central Public Works Department, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.A statement issued to Rising Kashmir said that Juhi Kumari secured an impressive All India Rank of 32 in the examination, showcasing her exceptional skills and knowledge in the field of architecture. Furthermore, she topped the Assistant Architect examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), securing the highest marks in written and ranking 5th. In the same examination, Trikuti Mishra, a student of the School of Architecture (session 2018-23), achieved a commendable rank of 82nd . Notably, both students had also excelled in the GATE examination, securing good ranks. Juhi Kumari and Trikuti Mishra attributed their success to the guidance and mentorship provided by Ar. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, SMVDU. The Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, Prof. Pragati Kumar, along with Ar. Abhiney Gupta (Head, School of Architecture and Landscape Design), Ar. Navin Gupta (Deputy Head, School of Architecture and Landscape Design), and all faculty members of architecture, congratulated the students on their outstanding achievement and wished them a bright future. This achievement underscores SMVDU’s commitment to providing quality education and nurturing talented individuals who can make a significant impact in their respective fields.
