SKUAST’s Momina Khan bags ‘International Innovation Fellowship Grant’

Srinagar, Aug 25: SKUAST K innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Centre is working tirelessly to nurture young minds towards arena of Innovation, Incubation & Startups by mentoring and supporting them to translate their ideas into viable startup opportunity and for this has been the rated as top most incubator supporting maximum startups and IP’s across in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir by Department of science and Technology, Jammu and Kashmir on their official website. This centre has established more than 45 DPIIT recognised startups, supported 35 IP’s and filed 70+ patents so far, raised 23 crore funding to support various startups and 65 innovation awards to foster the ecosystem of innovation across J&K UT under able guidance and support from Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K.
In its mission of Internationalization of education, SKUAST K under ambit of SKUAST K Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship centre supported by Department of Sciences and Technology New Delhi under inclusive technology business incubation scheme, fulfils its commitment to university authority to internationalize the 4th mandate of university (Innovations & Entrepreneurship). SKUAST K Innovation centres’ s Incubatee, Ms Momina Khan,a seri-graduate in university working on novel ser-biotech related idea (under patent process) has grabbed international Innovation fellowship “InteRussai in Skoltech Innovation centre, Moscow institute of science and technology, Russia for one month to work under incubation guidance of international mentor to translate her idea into commercial viable product.
Skoltech Innovation centre will provide her cent percent fellowship during on month incubation programme. Ms. Momina was mentored by award winning mentor, Naveed Hamid, CEO SKIIE centre during her incubation period and was supported by Dean and faculty members of COTS Mirgund and biotechnologists of university.
Vice chancellor, SKUAST Kashmir Prof. Nazir A Ganai congratulated the fellowship awardee Ms. Momina Khan and her mentors for wonderful achievement and for becoming role model to other to be first incubate to grab international innovation fellowship. Prof, Ganai congratulated Prof. Haroon R Naik and Board of Directors SKIIE centre and SKIIE Centre Team for great mentoring and fulfils its commitment to internationalize the 4th mandate.
