DHSK unveils 2024 calendar to promote health awareness

Srinagar, Jan 01: Director Health Service Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rather on Monday unveiled the 2024 Health Calendar here at the directorate headquarters.
Accompanied by key dignitaries, including officials from the Health Department Kashmir, Deputy Director, Chief Accounts Officer and Assistant Director, Epidemiologist Kashmir, the event aimed to highlight crucial health days and raise awareness about various diseases and potential outbreaks, according to a DHSK statement issued here, adding that the calendar stands as a visual guide, highlighting the significance of these health-related milestones.
Dr said the unveiling of the health calendar seeks to raise awareness about essential health-related events, milestones or campaigns scheduled throughout the year. “It serves as a tool to promote public health, encourage preventive measures, and provide information on key health issues. These calendars often focus on topics such as disease awareness, vaccination campaigns, health observances, and other initiatives to foster a healthier community,” he explained.
