Srinagar, Nov 14: The College of Temperate Sericulture, SKUAST-K, organized a one-day training program under MSME at Govt. Degree College Sumbal, aimed at empowering students with essential entrepreneurial skills.
The initiative sought to inspire participants to embrace entrepreneurship, particularly within the sericulture industry, fostering self-reliance and reducing dependence on government employment.
The program was coordinated by Prof. M. F. Baqual, who urged students to explore sericulture as a viable entrepreneurial avenue, emphasizing the importance of innovation and independence.
In her address, Principal Prof. Shawl highlighted the significance of student engagement in such initiatives and expressed her commitment to organizing more frequent awareness sessions, aimed at broadening the horizons of the students for their future growth.
The training included insightful lectures delivered by Dr. Nikhat Nabi, Dr. Farhat Qadri, and Dr. Sabiha Ashraf, Assistant Professors from the College of Temperate Sericulture, who shared their expertise and knowledge with the eager participants.
