Budgam, Oct 23: SKUAST-K, KVK Budgam in collaboration with HADP Seed Project, SKUAST-K organized Training- cum- seed distribution programme on “Efficient Production Technology for Quality Seed Production” in oats on 21-10-2024 at KVK Budgam; wherein more than 70 farmers from Haripora, Haran village and 30 scientists of KVK Budgam and officers from Department of Agriculture, Budgam participated.
Prof. M. Ashraf Bhat, PI, HADP Seed Project suggested farmers to use SKUAST-K generated technologies for their socio-economic upliftment. He informed farmers to adopt recent technologies that also includes seed and varietal replacement for ensuring food and nutritional security in the region. Chief scientist and Head, KVK Budgam (Dr. Bilal Ahmad Lone) urged the farmers for various HADP schemes and reaffirmed his commitment for farmers upliftment by providing all technical guidance to boost the fodder production in the village for livestock and generate more income. All guests were welcomed by Dr. Bhinish Shakeel and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sabia Akhter.
