Diploma in Agricultural Extension Service for Input Dealers (DAESI) programme is spread over a period of 48 weeks with 40 classroom sessions and 08 field visits.
DEASI Examination for two batches 3rd and 4th was conducted today on 7th June, 2024 at Directorate of Extension under the supervision of Director Extension/Education, SKUAST-Kashmir, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi. One year Diploma course for 40 students in each batch was organized by Directorate of Extension in collaboration with National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension (MANAGE), Hyderabad. The students of DAESI belong to all districts of Kashmir Valley.
The programme empowers input dealers with the necessary skills and knowledge to support farmers in achieving sustainable agricultural practices and improving their livelihoods. The exam pattern for DAESI includes both theory and practical sessions along with field visits.
The examination was monitored by team of MANAGE, Hyderabad headed by Prof Sachin Gupta, MANAGE Facilitator as an External Examiner for DAESI. The diploma course was organized by Training Section of Directorate of Extension under the guidance of Dr. Farahnaz Rasool, Deputy Director (Trgs) and Prof. Purshotam Singh.
After completion of course besides written examination and viva-voce, students of DAESI also prepared different models like drip irrigation, automatic irrigation in floriculture, dairy farm, poultry farm, vermi-compost etc
