Srinagar, Feb 28: National Education Policy 2020 is being implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and feedback is being sought from all the stakeholders to address the challenges faced in this regard.
It was expressed by the Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary of School Education and Higher Education Departments Shantmanu during a one-day conference titled “Transforming Education for a Future -Ready Generation” at Women’s College Srinagar today.
Addressing the conference, the Additional Chief Secretary said that when we talk about transforming education for a future-ready generation, it is imperative that we all should work together to get positive results in this regard. Shantmanu said that it is the responsibility of all government institutions, NGOs, other stakeholders, to see what has been done so far in the field of transforming education and what more needs to be done in the future.
ACS asked the students to actively participate in curricular as well as extra-curricular activities, because these are the requirements which are useful at every step in real life.
During the conference, Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo summarized the progress being made in implementing the National Education Policy 2020. In his speech, DSEK said that during the upcoming session, all steps will be taken to implement NEP 2020 and the teaching staff, school heads and students will be informed about the adoption of various tools to deal with the challenges faced in this regard.
Dr. Mushtaq Marghoob, a renowned psychiatrist of the valley, also expressed his views during the conference. During the event the “Academic Planner” for the schools of Kashmir Division was also released by ACS.
