A grand event was held at Tagore Hall Srinagar, Kashmir on Saturday to commemorate the memorial anniversary of the revered Sufi saint Of Kashmir Ali Muhammad Gilkaar.
The program was organized by HNSM (Hayatun Nabi(saw) Sufiya Movement), and HHRRF (The Hidden Human Research Foundation). The event saw the attendance of hundreds of scholars and Sufi lovers who gathered to honor the teachings and legacy of Hazrat Ali Muhammad Gilkaar.
Distinguished guests, including prominent personalities, were present at the occasion to shed light on and emphasize the teachings of Hazrat Ali Muhammad Gilkaar.
The chief guests of the program were Prof. Mehfooza Jan (Former Chairperson Sheikh-Ul-Alam Centre & Presently H.O.D Department of Kashmiri, University of Kashmir), Prof. Shaad Ramzaan (Former Head- Deptt. Of Kashmiri Uok). The program was further graced by esteemed guests of honor including: Dr. Shafqat Altaf (Deptt. Of Kashmir, University of Kashmir), Mr. G.R. Akhoon (Director All India Radio Srinagar), Mr. Shah Abdul Rasheed (Author of Warga Posh), Mufti Mudasir Qadri (Chairman Karwani Khatmai Nabuwat International), Mr. Farooq Mirza (Office Incharge, Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages), Famous Kashmiri Sufi and Folk Singer Ustaad Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, Mr. Manzoor Zahoor Shah Chishty (Chief Editor Sufi Media Services).
During the event, several books were released, adding to the intellectual and literary richness of the occasion. Among the notable releases was the first-of-its-kind research book with practical experiences of human origin, “Ek Joda” (The Single Pair), authored by Muhammad Umran in both English and Urdu languages.
Other books unveiled on this auspicious occasion were: “Peer Talib” by Khamoosh Hameed, “Kuliyaat Madhosh Qadi by Sheikh Gh. Qadir Madesh, “Noori Irfan & Asrari Wahadat by Sheikh Ahmad Mispori, “Dalalate Wajood” by Ahmad Mazoor Bemina, and “Zaribi Jigar” by Moulvi Mohammad Akram War.
The program was further enriched with soulful speeches and a mesmerizing Mefil-e- Sama, particularly by Mehraj Ud Din, an unsung artist of sarangi, Other singers who participated on the occasion were Nazir Ahmad Shah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, and Fayaz Dilbar.The program was also attended by some famous personalities in the field of Sufism who also graced the occasion.
Abdul Rashid Khanday from Pampore, Bashir Ahmad Dar from Lal Bazar Srinagar , Abdul Salaam Shah from pulwama, Master St Ahad Dar from Baramulla, Manzoor Ahmad Dalal, Mohd Ashraf Ganderbal and others, also shared their thoughts on Gilkaar sahib’s personality.
Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Chairman of HNSM expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests and the audience for their presence, making the occasion truly special. He mentioned that this is the first program of its kind organized in the last 48 years to present the teachings of Hazrat Ali Muhammad Gilkaar.
He further added that Gilkaar Sahib always had a dream to unite all religions under the single message of singularity and challenged his opposition with his truthfulness. He possessed a clear wisdom of self- realization. Mr. Muhammad Umran, President of HHRF also shared his thoughts on the occasion, in respect of Gilkaar Sahib as a revolutionary personality of ‘tasawuf’.
He emphasized that in the current time where artificial intelligence is given much importance, human intelligence should be experienced through the teachings of a guide who can transform one from animal nature to human nature.The initiative taken by organizers was highly encouraged by all the guests and the audience.
