Jammu, Mar 18: Talented batting all-rounder of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Rudrakshi Chib has got the Indian Junior Selectors’ nod for undergoing National Cricket Academy (NCA) Camp, scheduled to be held at Ranchi in Jharkhand from April 19, 2024.
Rudrakshi has scored 184 runs in the Women’s U-19 One-Day Trophy this seaon including two magnificent half-centuries against formidable Punjab (54) and Hyderabad (54) and has taken 6 wickets with 2 each against Chandigarh and Saurashtra as her best.
The right-handed top-order batter and right-arm off-spinner, Rudrakshi has the distinction of representing Jammu and Kashmir in U-19, U-23 and Senior Women’s One-Day and T20 Trophies, besides having the honour of being a part of NCA Camps, more than once before this Camp.
Rudrakshi has also got the reputation of scoring big runs and taking wickets in Senior Women’s Trophies, which she has been representing from the last four years.
Rudrakshi has also the honour of being part of the Senior Women’s One-Day Team, which had qualified for the historic knockout stage in 2020-21 season.
She is a graceful batter, gutsy bowler and has sharp reflexes, motor-a iluty, anticipation, besides having a pair of safe hands in business while fielding.
Describing Rudrakshi as a special talent, the Sub Committee members of JKCA including Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration, Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development and Sunil Sethi, Member Legal Affairs JKCA, have congratulated the youngster for this achievement.
