Ramban, Mar 05: Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Er Gulam Ali Khatana on Tuesday exhorted the officers to remain available for the people and ensure the genuine and timely redressal of their issues and demands. He asked them to expedite the ongoing works for timely completion and dedication to the public.
The MP visited the Banihal area of district Ramban and chaired a comprehensive meeting of sectoral officers and representatives of NHAI. Tehsildar Banihal Imtiyaz Ahmed, Executive Engineer PWD Iqbal Ahmed, BDO Banihal Asif Amin, CDPO Banihal, AEEs of PWD, Jal Shakti and PDD and various other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The MP took a detailed assessment of various ongoing development projects being executed by the Rural Development Department, Jal Shakti, PWD, Social Welfare, Power Development Department and allied departments.
During the meeting, the MP reviewed the progress of various CSSs implemented by the UT administration and urged the officers to facilitate people for hassle-free services provided by different departments.
During the meeting, the sectoral officers briefed the MP about the status of developmental programmes being implemented in the Ramban district.
Speaking on the occasion, Khatana expressed his satisfaction over the pace of progress on several development works. While seeking feedback on each project, he called upon the officers to identify all the bottlenecks and take necessary corrective measures to achieve set targets in given timelines.
The Member Parliament reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the residents and ensuring holistic development in all aspects of their lives.
Later, various delegations met MP and highlighted the issues being faced by them. The MP gave a patient hearing and passed on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers for early redressal of their genuine grievances. NHAI was directed to make a spot assessment to address the grievances of locals whose land, and structures are coming under damage due to earth cutting.
