Srinagar, Dec 9: In a highly competitive I-League encounter at the TRC Ground in Srinagar on Monday, Real Kashmir FC and Inter Kashi ended their match in a 1-1 draw, maintaining their unbeaten streaks.
Both teams now have eight points each from four games, with two wins and two draws, occupying the top two spots on the league table.
In Monday’s match, Real Kashmir’s midfielder Lalramsanga opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a perfectly timed header off a corner. The Snow Leopards dominated early exchanges, putting Inter Kashi on the back foot.
Inter Kashi, led by their Spanish striker Domingo Berlanga, found their rhythm in the second half. Berlanga equalized in the 69th minute with a composed finish off an aerial through ball, salvaging a point for the visitors.
Both teams had chances to take the lead late in the game. Inter Kashi’s goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya denied Shahid Nazir’s top-corner attempt, while Real Kashmir’s Mohd Arbaz made a crucial save against Joni Kauko in the 86th minute.
RKFC is the only club from J&K participating in the I League and is owned by Arshad Shawl.
This was RKFC’s last home match of the year, now the team will head to Bhaini Sahib to face Namdhari on December 15.
