Srinagar, Nov 14: The Minister for Education, Sakina Itoo on Thursday said that protocols need to be followed to ensure schools are safe from fire incidents.
Her remarks came during a visit to the Muslim Public School in Rajbagh, where a fire incident occurred earlier in the morning.
Speaking to reporters, Sakina Itoo said that the school authorities would address the damage to the infrastructure caused by the fire incident at their own discretion.
She expressed relief that there were no casualties, highlighting that the safety of individuals is of utmost importance.
“I visited personally to ensure everyone’s safety. While Children’s Day functions are ongoing, we will properly assess the situation. The administration will look into the matter and ensure fire safety protocols are followed in all the schools,” she said.
