Prof. Sumer Singh from IIT Delhi interacts with B. Design Students of SMVDU

Katra, Sept 14: Prof. Sumer Singh, Associate Professor from the Department of Design at IIT Delhi, engaged in an interactive session with B. Design students at SMVDU.
The event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to gain insights into the world of design innovation, startup culture, and the future of design in various industries.
During the interaction, Prof. Singh discussed the evolving landscape of design, the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the emerging opportunities in the field. He also shared his experiences with successful design startups, emphasizing the need for creative problem-solving and innovation-driven approaches.
SMVDU has started a new program in Bachelor of Design from the 2024 onwards keeping in view the industry demand in the area of design such as UI/UX Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Automotive Design, Animation and Industry Design.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq, AP, SME., Prof. Ankush Anand (Coordinator, B. Des. Program), Ar. Abhiney Gupta (Head, SoALD) and Dr. Yatheshth Anand (Head, SME) who facilitated an engaging dialogue between the students and the expert.
The interaction was part of SMVDU’s ongoing efforts to provide students with exposure to industry experts and real-world perspectives, fostering an environment of learning and innovation.
