Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Police spokesperson said that a police party of Police Post Babareshi headed by IC PP Babareshi under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg at a checkpoint established at Babareshi Crossing intercepted one person.
“During the search, 28 grams of contraband Charas Powder like substance was recovered from his possession, who was later identified as Mohd Azhar Khan son of Tariq Ahmad resident of Qazipora Tangmarg Baramulla. He had been arrested and shifted to PS Tangmarg where he remain in custody”, he said.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Tangmarg and investigations have been initiated
