Jammu, Apr 05: Hundreds of people joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Akhnoor in the presence of former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas.
During the event, Manhas highlighted the transformative initiatives undertaken by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the philosophy of ‘sabka saath sabka vikas’ (development for all).
Addressing the new entrants, Manhas underscored the government’s efforts in empowering every section of society, including those in Jammu and Kashmir, which is experiencing a remarkable transformation. He lauded the development initiatives in the “new” Jammu & Kashmir and expressed confidence that people are impressed with the government’s work, thus expressing their desire to strengthen Modi and the BJP.
Former MLA Akhnoor, Rajiv Sharma, expressed optimism about the new additions bolstering the BJP’s strength and rallying support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the party’s commitment to securing Modi’s third consecutive term.
Suraj Singh, Vice-Chairman of the District Development Council, Jammu, asserted that coalition dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir would not diminish the BJP’s influence. He cited the party’s robust presence and achievements in the region as evidence of its enduring popularity and support.
Manmohan Singh, National Executive Member of the Kisan Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Party, highlighted the success of the PM KISAN scheme, one of the largest Direct Benefit Transfer programs globally. He noted that the scheme has crossed a significant milestone with Prime Minister Narendra Modi releasing the 16th installment, benefiting more than 11 crore eligible farmer families. Singh highlighted that Rs 3 lakh crores have been disbursed under the scheme to date, with Rs 1.75 lakh crores transferred to eligible farmers during the COVID-19 period, providing crucial support during challenging times.
