SRINAGAR, Jan 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with students, teachers, and parents at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during the 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC).
The event, a yearly interaction program initiated by the Prime Minister, aims to foster stress-free dialogue among students, teachers, and parents.
During the event, the Prime Minister walked through an art and crafts exhibition showcasing students’ creations expressing aspirations and concepts related to the New National Education Policy.
Addressing the gathering, Modi emphasized the importance of Bharat Mandapam, recounting its significance as the venue for the G20 summit where global leaders discussed the future of the world.
Special arrangements were made in schools and prominent locations across the country to witness this historical event. Like other states, Jammu and Kashmir witnessed impressive gatherings, with special viewing arrangements in schools and district headquarters.
To spread awareness, a massive media campaign was launched, utilizing electronic and print media, banners, and strategically placed hoardings across the Jammu and Kashmir Union territory. Social media channels, both personal and official, were buzzing with activity, amplifying the message of the Pariksha Pe Charcha initiative.
Dr. Piyush Singla, Administrative Secretary, attended the event at Teacher Bhawan Jammu. Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore, along with other dignitaries, participated in the event. The 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha aimed to create a stress-free educational experience for students.
Over 800,000 students from the Union Territory participated, with 116,000 students, more than 80,000 teachers, and 5,000 parents registering on the PPC portal. Rukhsana Bano of Reasi District and Kartaywya Bhagat of Jammu district were selected for live interaction in New Delhi.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, praised PPC as a catalyst in boosting students’ confidence to face life’s challenges. He emphasized the golden opportunity provided by the Prime Minister to motivate students to become responsible citizens.
“Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 stands as a testament to the commitment to creating a harmonious atmosphere in the education sector, guiding the path to success with confidence and resilience,” said Sharma . Deputy Director of Planning at Samagra Shiksha J&K, Bilal Rashid, presented a vote of thanks at the event.
