Srinagar, Oct 16: On Breast Cancer Awareness Day, medical experts from Paras Health Srinagar emphasized the life-saving importance of early breast cancer detection. With breast cancer accounting for 22.2% of all female cancers in India in 2022, the hospital’s oncologists stressed that timely diagnosis is crucial in combating the rising number of cases in Srinagar and beyond.
The Paras Cancer Centre has become a leading force in cancer care across the region. From September 2023 to August 2024, the hospital treated 1,608 cancer patients, performed 305 surgeries, and provided chemotherapy for 975 patients.
