SRINAGAR, Apr 22:In a bid to address numerous complaints against private schools, the Joint Director of School Education Jammu has nominated committee members across three districts in the Jammu division.
Formed in April 2024 by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, these committees are tasked with verifying complaints against private schools in the region.
SubahMetha, Joint Director of the School Education Department Jammu, disclosed that two members from each district (Jammu, Samba, and Kathua) have been appointed to the committee as per the Directorate’s directives.
Earlier, the Director of School Education Jammu had constituted committees to investigate complaints against private schools affiliated with the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE). These committees will comprise the Chief Education Officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer, and one principal nominated by the CEO.
For schools affiliated with the Central Board of School Education (CBSE), the committees will include the Joint Director, Chief Education Officer, and two principals nominated by the Joint Director.
