Katra, June 06: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful message to Pakistan and ter-rorists today, reaffirming India’s resolve to protect Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism and ex-ternal aggression.
“Whenever Pakistan hears the name Operation Sindoor, it will be reminded of its humiliating de-feat,” Modi declared, referring to the recent successful military operation that struck terror infra-structure inside Pakistan.
He said Operation Sindoor demonstrated the strength of Aatmnirbhar Bharat and praised the armed forces for their trust in ‘Make in India.’
“You have seen how Operation Sindoor has shown the power of Aatmnirbhar Bharat. Today, the world is discussing India’s defence ecosystem. There is only one reason behind this. Our army’s trust in Make in India,” he said.
“Pakistan attacked both ‘insaniyat and Kashmiriyat’ in Pahalgam,” the Prime said, He condemned Pakistan’s continued attempts to disrupt peace, including the recent Pahalgam attack that target-ed tourists and sought to cripple Jammu and Kashmir’s burgeoning tourism industry, which sup-ports thousands of local livelihoods.
Modi praised the courage of local youth like Adil, who stood against terrorists but lost his life, and emphasised that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have made up their minds to give terror-ism a “befitting reply.”
PM Modi assured that Jammu and Kashmir’s development will not be hindered by such attacks and promised to support the youth in fulfilling their dreams. He promised that if anyone tries to block the youth’s dreams, they will have to face him first.
“Jammu and Kashmir’s development will not be shaken by the Pahalgam attack. This is Narendra Modi’s promise. If anyone stops the youth here from fulfilling their dream, ‘to usko pehle Modi ka saamna karna padega’ ( “Any obstacle that threatens the dreams of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth will have to face me first.”)
In a move to support families affected by cross-border shelling, Modi announced enhanced fi-nancial aid: ₹2 lakh for severely damaged homes and ₹1 lakh for partially damaged ones, in addi-tion to previously provided assistance. He also announced the construction of new bunkers and the raising of two new Border Battalions and two Women Battalions to bolster security.
“The land of Veer Zorawar Singh stands tall and united,” Modi said, praising the resilience of Jammu and Kashmir’s people.
The Prime Minister condemned terrorism’s devastating impact on schools, hospitals, and temples, mosques and Gurdwara’s but underscored a turning point — the youth’s commitment to peace and progress.
Modi called upon the people and youth to embrace India’s manufacturing revolution, highlight-ing defense exports and the ‘Make in India’ campaign, urging Jammu & Kashmir’s young inno-vators to contribute to national growth and security.
He reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to a bright and prosperous future for Jam-mu and Kashmir, working alongside the state government to ensure development, peace, and uni-ty under the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi.
