Nundraaz Temple Committee Ashmuji holds Maha Yagya on Navratri in Jammu

Jammu, Apr 13: The displaced Kashmiri Pandits on Saturday organised a Maha Yagya on the occasion of Navratri in Jammu capital city to seek the blessings of Navdurga and Nundraaz.
The wo-day long Yagya was organised by the newly formed NundraazPrabandik Committee Ashumji (NMPC) at Swami Mahesh Bharti Ashram, lower Roopnagar in Jammu.
The devotees in hundreds including biradari members along with families and extended families of their daughters participated enthusiastically in the Hawan, a spiritual ceremony, conducted for the first time by NMPCin the last 35 years in exile.
The Shri Nundraaz temple, dedicated to NunkeshwarBhairava, is located in the village of Ashmuji in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Amid chanting of Mantras and Sholaks, the Yagya, which was presided over by Guru Pran Nath, was organised to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the community.
Bhajan and Kirtan was organised on the occasion which brought a blissful feeling among all the devotees present on the occasion.
Later Maha Bhog was served among all present on the occasion.
The Committe headed by Ramesh Bhat took a decision to hold Yagya and begin the process of construction of Temple and Bhawan dedicated to dietyNandraaz ji.
General Secretary Sanjay Bhat thanked the biradari for whole heartedly taking part in the holy function and vowed to take forward the mission.
Bhat said that they organized this Hawan program on the occasion in devotion of Nundraaz ji after 35 years. Bhat expressed anticipation for hosting more such community functions in days to come.
Apart from the community, prominent volunteers and office bearers namely P N Bhat, M L Bhat, Mr C L Bhat, Mahesh Pandita, Suresh Pandita, Rakesh Bhat, Bansi Lal Raina, Ramesh Bhat, Bhai Ji, Mintu Ji, Anil Bhat, Sunil Ji, Sunil Bhat, Rakesh Pandita, Sandeep Koul, Roop Krishen Bhat, Ramesh Ji, and Raman Raina ji made the function a success.
