Srinagar, 27 June: The outreach program of EPFO called “Nidhi Aapka Nikat” was organized by Regional Office Kashmir at Ayesha Ali Academy, Kulgam.
The programme is an inclusive, coherent and comprehensive mechanism which will act as a grievance redressal platform as well as an information exchange network for employees, employers and pensioners. The aim of the program is reach all the district on 27th of every month and strength the relationship between the Organisation and its stake holders.
Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 focuses on providing various on-the-spot services to members which includes e-nomination filing, KYC seeding (Aadhaar seeding), updation of Bank Account, PAN, Mobile number, and Claim related services like Online claim submission, any other claim related issues. Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 is also a platform for Pensioners where services like Digital Life Certificate (DLC) submission, Mobile number updation and Bank account updation are provided. The program also focuses on guidance for compliance and return filing, digital signature certificates and e-sign.
The awareness program was led by Enforcement Officer Latif Ahmad Zargar along with Riyaz Ahmad Shah SSA, Mohammad Maqbool Khan SSA and Mehraj ur Rehman SSA which witnessed active participation of employees and employees of different establishments of the area.
During the session the participants were informed about applicability of EPF and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, Provisions of the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 and Linked Insurance Scheme 1976, e-nominations & KYC. Benefit of Insurance under EDLI were informed to the participants wherein assured benefit of 2.5 lacs up to maximum of 7 lacs will be given to the nominee of the deceased upon his death in harness if the deceased has rendered more than one year of continuous service as a member of EPFO.
During the interactive session various queries and doubts raised by the participants were answered by the officers of EPFO and their grievances were settled on spot. A special Pension help desk was setup in the Camp for pension related issues/grievances. The participants thanked EPFO authorities for conducting such awareness programmes and hoped that such programs shall continue to be conducted in future also so that more and more employees are benefited by the social security schemes provided by EPFO India.
