Jammu, Jan 25: Sensing the urgency of the situation in Rajouri after mysterious deaths in Bhadhal village, the government has cancelled leaves of all the doctors, paramedical staff and other concerned health officials in Rajouri.
“The leave will be given to the doctors, nurses, para-medicals and other health officials only in case of medical emergency i.e medical leave,” a senior official informed Rising Kashmir.
No leave will be given to health officials serving in all blocks of Rajouri, he said, while adding, “This is an emergency situation and all the officials/employees of the health department have been informed to be on high alert”.
This is disaster like situation and all the employees of the health department have been strictly conveyed to be on high alert as our department provides essential services, he said.
“We instantly want staff in case of any emergency like situation and therefore all the employees of different categories have been instructed to be on high alert,” the senior health officer said, wishing not to be named.
Meanwhile, Principal, Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu (GMC&H-Jammu), Dr Ashutosh Gupta, informed Rising Kashmir that all the patients are recovering well.
So far seventeen (17) people have died mysteriously in Rajouri’s Bhadal Village, majority being children. The inter-ministerial team appointed on the orders of union Home Minister, Amit Shah, also visited the village and camped for 2 days. It collected samples of water, soil and food grains to ascertain causes of mysterious deaths.
