Ganderbal, July 10: Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has taken action against the Medical Superintendent (MS) of District Hospital Ganderbal, Dr. Abdul Majid Bhat, following allegations of harassment made by the medical and paramedical staff. In response to the claims, an immediate attachment order has been issued, pending an inquiry into the matter.
In an order obtained by Rising Kashmir, Dr. Abdul Majid Bhat has been attached to the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, with Dr. Nighat Yasmeen Sheikh, the current Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Ganderbal, assuming the additional responsibility of the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Ganderbal until further notice.
The decision to attach Dr. Bhat comes after a protest organized by doctors and paramedical staff at District Hospital Ganderbal.
