Srinagar, Apr 08: National Conference (NC) Member of Parliament (Anantnag–Rajouri) Mian Altaf Ahmad conducted a two-day tour of various areas in Anantnag district to gain firsthand insight into the issues faced by local residents.
According to an official statement, the MP visited several areas including Shangus, Kokernag, Bijbehara and Anantnag. During his visit, he interacted with locals who shared concerns regarding the lack of development in the region.
The residents highlighted several pressing issues such as poor road infrastructure, the absence of adequate irrigation facilities, scarcity of potable drinking water and insufficient healthcare services in multiple areas.
Upon listening to the grievances, MP Mian Altaf assured the people that he would bring their concerns to the forefront for timely resolution and extend all possible support in his capacity as a Member of Parliament.
Meanwhile, after concluding his tour, Mian Altaf Ahmad urged the government to expedite developmental works in these regions. He emphasised the need for addressing the day-to-day issues of the people on a priority basis to ensure overall improvement in their quality of life.
