Reasi, Dec 27: Member of Parliament (MP) Ghulam Ali Khatana on Wednesday stressed the indispensable role of community involvement in ensuring the success of government initiatives. He said the active engagement of citizens is pivotal for the effective execution of government schemes.
The MP participated in the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign dedicated to raising awareness and ensuring the widespread implementation of various flagship government schemes. The event, held in Mahore sub-division, witnessed enthusiastic participation from diverse segments of society.
He said the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra provides a unique platform for people to connect with authorities and actively contribute to the nation’s development.
The campaign, highlighted through an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van, showcased remarkable success stories of beneficiaries who have thrived under multiple schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), UMEED, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kissan), Poshan Abhiyan, Old Pension, and more. Notably, a pivotal moment included a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, personally delivered through the IEC van, underscoring the government’s commitment to the nation’s development.
Individuals, communities, and students came together during the event to take a collective pledge for a Viksit Bharat, symbolizing a dedicated commitment to the advancement and progress of our nation.
The event witnessed a rich display of cultural diversity as various educational institutions collaborated to present a captivating cultural program, celebrating India’s pluralistic heritage.
MP Khatana emphasized the need for continued efforts to empower communities through awareness. He highlighted the significance of officers and officials from various departments engaging with the general public to shed light on vital schemes, including Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), and Poshan Abhiyan.
The ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ segment featured impactful firsthand accounts from beneficiaries, showcasing the tangible benefits and positive changes brought about by the government’s welfare programs.
