Ali Mohammad Dar, a prominent leader and Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Chadoora Constituency, emphasized that his primary focus will be addressing the fundamental issues faced by the community and enhancing infrastructure within the healthcare and education sectors across the Chadoora Assembly constituency.
In an interview with Rising Kashmir, Ali Mohammad Dar expressed his gratitude to the voters of the Chadoora Constituency for their support, which enabled him and his party to achieve success in recent elections.
Reflecting on his early political involvement, Dar recounted, “When I was in 9th grade, members of the National Conference party visited various locations to recruit new members. I participated in this campaign, as I was actively supporting the National Conference. My political journey began in 1975 when senior National Conference leader Abdul Samad Mir visited my college, Government Degree College Bemina, and encouraged my involvement in politics.”
The MLA Chadoora acknowledged numerous basic issues confronting the residents of the constituency. He noted that while there has been significant development in the area, he is committed to diligently addressing the essential needs of his constituents. “People have high expectations from me and my party. Once I successfully address the fundamental problems and meet the demands of my constituents, I will consider my efforts as successful in fulfilling their needs,” he said.
“The people from all the constituencies of the Budgam district have cast their votes in favor of our party, leading to the success of all National Conference candidates in the Assembly elections. The populace places their trust in our Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, believing that he will address the issues faced by the residents of the five assembly constituencies in the Budgam district. This trust is the primary reason why voters from these constituencies have supported the National Conference, as they recognize Omar Abdullah’s capability to resolve fundamental issues and to undertake the necessary development projects that have been neglected in the absence of an elected government, Dar said.
He further remarked that the delimitation process conducted under the BJP government aimed to weaken the National Conference party in Jammu and Kashmir. However, with the assistance of Almighty Allah, the National Conference has emerged victorious in the elections. The completion of the delimitation process for assembly seats has not adversely affected the electorate. Ultimately, the National Conference has succeeded in the assembly elections, as evidenced by the support it received from the people in both the assembly and parliamentary elections, Dar said.
When inquired about the manifesto for the Chadoora constituency, Dar emphasized the necessity for significant development within the Chadoora Assembly constituency. He noted that while there is a sub-district hospital in Chadoora, it lacks various essential facilities that are available in other primary health centers. Furthermore, the Community Health Center in Chattagram does not provide the comprehensive services that were accessible to patients two decades ago. In the Kralpora area, which has a population exceeding 10,000, there are no health facilities available for residents. There are a lot of villages within the Chadoora constituency that still lack adequate health services. Additionally, the infrastructure for government schools is insufficient. Dar stated that his focus will remain on both the health and education sectors, asserting that the government will address these issues to ensure that citizens can access necessary services effectively.
“The National Conference Party will also prioritize the tourism sector, as Budgam possesses significant potential for the tourism industry, which can provide livelihoods for local residents. There are numerous tourist destinations in Jammu and Kashmir, including those in the Budgam district. The government will work towards developing the tourism industry to attract both international visitors and tourists from other Indian states, thereby creating employment opportunities for unemployed youth in the tourism sector,” MLA Chadoora said.
Dar further mentioned that all MLAs from the National Conference Party in the Budgam district will convene to discuss various challenges faced by the people. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the development of Budgam district, ultimately providing relief to the community through these development initiatives.
“I am committed to advancing the welfare of my constituents who have placed their trust in me and my party. My office will always be accessible to public, and I encourage them to reach out to me at any time, as I am their elected representative. The community has high expectations from me and my party. I am dedicated to addressing all the challenges faced by my constituents. I will exert considerable effort on their behalf and remain devoted towards fulfilling their needs. I am prepared to offer assistance in any form whenever required, and I urge the public to contact me without hesitation,”MLA Chadoora said.
In response to queries regarding the increase in old age pensions and widow funds, Dar said, “Our party has made a commitment to the people to enhance these benefits. Our party will ensure that these funds are disbursed monthly to the beneficiaries’ accounts. There have been instances where the release of old age and widow funds has been delayed, and addressing this issue is a top priority for us in order to better serve our community.
