Jammu, Apr 03: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bahu, Ch Vikram Randhawa on Thursday inaugurated two significant development projects in Bahu Constituency.
The projects with a total investment of Rs 59 lakh are aimed at improving local infrastructure and enhancing public convenience, the MLA’s office said in a statement issued here.
Randhawa kickstarted the upgradation of a lane near Golden Roots School, Gandhi Nagar (Ward No. 20). The project includes high-quality tile work and drain covering to enhance sanitation and accessibility for residents. Officials present at the event included AEE Nisha Bharti and JE Vishal Kotwal, along with senior party leaders Naresh Singh (District President), Rahul Kumar (Mandal President), Satvir Singh, Daljeet Singh, Varun Sharma, Pankaj Bral and other dignitaries, the statement said.
To address water supply challenges, the MLA initiated the PHE pipeline installation at Sanjay Nagar, Sector-4 (Ward No. 46). This project is expected to significantly improve water distribution in the area, ensuring a steady supply for residents.
The event was attended by AEE Arun Kumar and JE Amit Sharma, as well as local leaders Ritika Mam (Mandal President), Narinder Koki, Satapul Choudhary, Sanjay Bhau, Vinod Kumar, and other respected community members.
Addressing the gatherings at both locations, MLA Randhawa highlighted the importance of continuous infrastructural development for the well-being of the people. He reiterated his commitment to resolving public grievances and assured residents that several more projects focusing on roads, drainage and water supply are in the pipeline.
He further urged the residents to cooperate with the administration during the execution of these projects, ensuring their smooth and timely completion. “Development is a shared responsibility, and with collective efforts, we can transform Bahu Constituency into a model region,” he added.
