Bandipora, Mar 28: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Nizamuddin Bhat visited HKM Degree College Bandipora where he was warmly received by the college administration. The visit focused on assessing the institution’s academic and infrastructural progress and addressing key concerns raised by the staff.
During the discussions, a detailed presentation was given on the ongoing developmental projects of the college. Challenges such as the shortage of permanent teaching staff, which has affected academic continuity and the need for introducing new subjects in line with modern educational demands were highlighted, the MLA’s office said in a statement issued here.
The improvement of student facilities, particularly transportation, was another major issue discussed. The staff also apprised Nizamuddin Bhat of the various difficulties they face in daily operations.
Responding promptly, Bhat took up the issues with the concerned authorities, assuring that necessary steps would be taken for resolution.
The MLA highlighted the importance of faculty recruitment, infrastructure enhancement and stronger collaboration between the college, government and community to ensure sustainable academic growth.
