Middle standard exam results: J&K students achieve remarkable 95.91% pass percentage

The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has officially declared the results of the Middle Standard Examination for the academic year 2023-24. A commendable pass percentage of 95.91% has been achieved by candidates from both soft and hard zones across the Jammu and Kashmir Divisions.
A total of 169,351 students from government and private schools spanning all 20 districts of J&K participated in the second term examinations for the academic year 2023-24. To facilitate a smooth examination process, the UT of J&K was divided into Soft and Hard zones.
The outcome of the exams has been overwhelmingly positive, with 162,440 candidates qualifying, resulting in an impressive overall pass percentage of 95.1%.
An official from JK-SCERT said that the results of the Middle Standard Examination for the 8th grade session 2023-24 have been released in both soft and hard zones of Jammu and Kashmir on 24th April 2024.
He stated, “95.91% of the candidates have successfully cleared the exams in both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir.”
In the Kashmir division, government schools witnessed 92.21% of students qualifying for the 8th grade exams, with 96.92% success rate in private schools.
In the Jammu Division, government schools achieved a pass rate of 96.25%, while private schools recorded an outstanding pass rate of 98.93%.
Across government schools in Jammu and Kashmir, 94.46% of students passed the exams, while in private schools, 97.82% of students succeeded in the eighth-grade standard exams.
The Middle Standard Examination (MSE) Session 2023-24 concluded on March 16, 2024, in both hard and soft zone areas of the Jammu and Kashmir union territory. A total of 2,471 examination centres were set up at the Cluster/Complex level for the smooth conduct of the MSE 2023-24 exams across the union territory.
After meticulous evaluation, the results were announced on April 24, 2024, by all 20 DIETs in Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant achievement in the education sector of the region.
