Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday arrested a person involved in illegal transportation of drone in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman said that On 17 november one Drone Unit along with accessories, consigned by M/S ROBO NEXA, THE FUTURE OF INNOVATION, Banglore Karnataka and consigned
to Syed Alfar Daniyal s/o Syed Neshtar Abdul Rub R/o Iqbal colony H/no.11 Chanapora, Srinagar has been intercepted by Budgam Police along with officials of the State Taxes Department at Srinagar International Airport and accordingly drone and all equipments were seized.
Pertinent to mention that nobody turned up to claim the consignment till morning of 24th November 2022 .The consignee was asked to produce a valid permission/ registration/ license from the competent authority for the purchase/ possession and transport of the said drone, but he failed to produce the same and was accordingly arrested in case FIR number 389/2022 under relevant sections of law which stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
Budgam Police requests general masses not to fly, buy, transport, store or use any unmanned aircraft (drones) without proper permission from the competent Authority as it has been banned by district magistrate Budgam vide order number 175 DMB of 2021 dated 06-07-2021.
