Srinagar, Aug 10: The People’s Conference on Sunday held a high-spirited felicitation ceremony at its Jawahar Nagar office here to honour the party leaders recently entrusted with crucial organisational responsibilities aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and outreach.Those honoured included Sheikh Mohammad Imran, appointed as State Secretary (Organisation), Irfan Mattu, appointed as District President Srinagar and Mohammad Yaseen Choodisaaz, appointed as District Vice President Srinagar, the party said in a statement issued here.The ceremony was presided over by PC president Sajad Gani Lone, who was flanked by Vice President Abdul Gani Vakil, Chief Spokesperson Advocate Bashir Ahmed Dar, State Secretary Abbas Wani, Chief Organiser Rasheed Mahmoud, Political Secretary Tasaduq Yaseen, Spokesperson Muneeb Quraishi and party leaders Salam Bukhari and Akbar Tango.The occasion was marked by a strong sense of camaraderie and collective resolve to further intensify the party’s grassroots presence across Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.Speaking on the occasion, Lone underscored the importance of entrusting leadership roles to individuals with proven integrity and dedication.“People’s Conference has always been a movement of the committed, driven by the belief that the future of Jammu and Kashmir must be shaped by those who put people before politics,” he said. “By placing these crucial responsibilities on Imran, Irfan and Yaseen, we are reaffirming our confidence in their ability to carry forward our vision and mission with renewed energy and purpose.”The newly appointed office bearers expressed their deep gratitude to the leadership for this trust and responsibility.
