Ghazipur, May 05: Ghazipur, May 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a keynote address at a seminar focusing on the “Role of modern education in preserving Indian Culture and Tradition” in Ghazipur today.
Highlighting the significance of modern education in upholding cultural heritage, the Lt. Governor stressed that culture serves as the voice of society. He underscored India’s current cultural resurgence, crediting modern education for equipping the younger generation to compete globally while cherishing ancient values.
The Lt. Governor praised the National Education Policy for striking a balance between tradition and technology, science and sanskar, and ensuring access to global educational standards.
Furthermore, he discussed reforms in the education sector and their positive impact on both school and higher education, asserting that these reforms have breathed new life into cultural revival and laid a foundation for a bright future.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also addressed a seminar commemorating “the legacy of Chandragupta Maurya’s good governance in shaping the modern administrative framework”.
In his address, the Lt. Governor lauded Chandragupta Maurya, the founder of the Maurya Empire, for promoting principles of equity, inclusiveness, and the rule of law. He emphasized Chandragupta’s pivotal role in uniting and prospering India, positioning the nation as a Vishwa Guru.
Highlighting Chandragupta’s governance system, the Lt. Governor underscored its citizen-centric approach, emphasizing welfare, inclusivity, and public participation. He also shared Chanakya’s perspective on Chandragupta’s governance, noting its focus on citizen happiness and policy formulation through public dialogue.
The Lt. Governor further highlighted Chandragupta’s emphasis on education, art, and spiritual-cultural development, which aimed at awakening national consciousness.
In another function, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered the ShriKubernathRai memorial lecture in Ghazipur today, honoring the esteemed essayist, scholar, and poet’s contributions to literature and nation-building.
Reflecting on Rai’s literary legacy, the Lt. Governor emphasized his role in enriching Hindi literature and providing intellectual inspiration through his essays. He praised Rai for promoting ancient ideals and values while encouraging new perspectives, thereby strengthening national unity.
