Srinagar, May 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today interacted with members of the Kashmir Women’s Organisation at Raj Bhawan.
The LG extended his felicitations to all associated with the organisation, which is dedicated to women’s empowerment. He praised the “Nari Shakti” for consistently demonstrating excellence across sectors and contributing significantly to the growth and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Today, our daughters are scripting new history. They are emerging as role models, achieving new heights of success in diverse fields. They are the pillars of our socio-economic progress and the driving force behind accelerated development,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He emphasised that the Indian Constitution grants equal rights to women without discrimination.
“In recent years, we have intensified efforts through dedicated programmes and initiatives aimed at women empowerment. Our goal is to ensure that our daughters have greater opportunities in key sectors so they can contribute meaningfully to the journey of Viksit Bharat and Aatm-Nirbhar Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
The Lieutenant Governor also conveyed his best wishes to the Kashmir Women’s Organisation for their future endeavours.
Earlier, the delegation briefed the LG on several initiatives focused on women empowerment, political participation, and community engagement.
