Srinagar, Nov 21: Kashmir’s largest maternity hospital, Lal Hospital has introduced many digital interventions including digital boards for enhanced patient experience.
Medical Superintendent, Lal Ded Hospital, Dr Muzaffar Jan said in a bid to improve communication and accessibility, the hospital has installed state-of-the-art digital boards throughout its campus.
“These innovative displays aim to provide vital information to the general public, ensuring a seamless and informed experience,” he said.
The digital boards display details on available medical services, departments, facilities, important phone numbers and extensions for various departments and personnel.
The MS said that the patients and their attendants can have real-time updates on the availability of doctors, specialists, critical alerts and announcements during emergencies.
“The installation of digital boards underscores the hospital’s dedication to providing top-notch patient care and services. By embracing technology, Lal Ded Hospital continues to set new standards in healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction,” he said.
The MS said digital communication has become increasingly important in hospitals because it can improve patient outcomes and the quality of care.
Medical Superintendent said it has also installed signboards and warning signs. “We have also completed the patient sarai which was recently constructed at the hospital,” he said.
The hospital has also completed the monumental front gate, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the people.
He said they have also designated two rooms for female staff: one adjacent to the casualty area and another as a rest room for female doctors working 24/7 in the labor room.
The largest maternity hospital in the valley has installed signages displaying doctors’ rights in accordance with Supreme Court of India directives.
On the directions of Secretary Health and Medical Education and Principal GMC Srinagar, additional new CCTV cameras have been sanctioned for the hospital.
