KPPL Edition-4: Tridents CC takes on Ace Club; Hustlers CC faces Dream XI in semis

Jammu, Feb 27: Semifinals line up has been drawn in Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) Edition-4 as Ace Cricket Club, Tridents Cricket Club, Hustlers Cricket Club and Dream XI have made it to the last four stage.
Now, Ace Cricket Club will lock horns with Tridents Cricket Club in the first semifinal at 10:00 am tomorrow and Hustlers Cricket Club will take on Dream XI in the second semifinal at 1:00 pmon the same day.
Earlier, in the first match played today, Lalitaditya (LSEHO) XI  defeated Moon Strikers XI by a narrow margin of 9 runs.
Batting first, Lalitaditya XI scored a modest total of 134 runs in 20 overs. Mohil Bhat and Amit Raina contributed 29 and 27 runs to the total respectively.
Bobby Pandita was the pick of the bowlers for Moon Strikers XI, who took 4 wickets by conceding 25 runs in his 4 overs.
In reply, Moon Strikers XI scored 125 runs in 20 overs to lose the match by 9 runs. 
Rajat Safaya played a brilliant innings of 55 runs off 53 balls studded with 5 fours and one six.
For LSEHO XI, Sunny Bhan was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 wickets by conceding 8 runs in 4 overs, while Nittu bagged 3 wickets by giving away 24 runs in 2.5 overs.
For his splendid bowling show, Sunny Bhan was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Dream XI defeated Team VR Events by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Team VR Events scored 141/9 in 20 overs.
Sager Mantoo scored 50 runs off 39 balls, studded with 4 fours and one six, while Praful Dhar contributed 33 runs off 29 balls with 2 fours and one six.
Arvind Bakshi took 4 wickets by conceding 32 runs in his 4 overs, while Vinod Bhat claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Dream XI scored the required runs in 16.3 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets.
Rounak top scored with 54 runs off 40 balls, studded with 9 fours, while Rahul Mussa contributed 34 runs off 31 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
For the Team VR Events, Vishal and Vijay Bhat took one wicket each.
Arvind Bakshi was adjudged as the man of the match for his superb bowling display.
The tournament in which 15 teams are taking part, is dedicated to the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir and is being played with a twin purpose of promoting sports and unity among the KP youth in exile.
