Srinagar, Dec 10: Kashmir Motors is on a mission to promote unexplored tourist destinations in the Valley.
Vice president of marketing and sales at Kashmir Motors, Ufair Aijaz, told Rising Kashmir that they are leaving no stone unturned to promote the less-known destination of the Kashmir valley, and their primary focus is Kupwara, Ganderbal, and Budgam.
He said that every year, they try their best to uplift tourism in the Kashmir Valley by introducing new equipment at these tourist destinations and adding new places to the tourist map that will help youth generate employment.
Like last year, he said our focus was to give promote lesser-known places and to initiate new tourism-related activities at these places to keep them vibrant in winter.
Kashmir Motors was called to Kupwara in a recent “My Town, My Pride” program. “This area has remained in darkness, and I believe this initiative will bring great fruits to Kupwara. Currently, the district is much more focused on the Bangus Valley and Lolab; these places have great tourist potential,” he added.
Kashmir Motors will give the youth training regarding the winter carnival, ATVs, snow mobbing, and the business module. Participants will also be given certificates.
Last year, Kashmir Motors took an initiative in Budgam that resulted in a positive outcome. “Doodhphatri and Yusmarg were given upliftment last time, and a large number of people are visiting these twin places in Budgam district.” Kashmir Motors’ Vice President stated.
He went on to say that they have made a representation to Deputy Commissioner Budgam to hold such programs in this district as well as to educate the general public about schemes that have a high subsidy and through which people can generate self-employment.
Aijaz claimed that before organizing the snow festival in collaboration with some other department in Budgam, no one was visiting this place in the winter. After the initiative was taken, now people in huge numbers are touring this place in the winter.
