Reasi, Dec 27: Reasi district witnessed varied activities as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the government’s ambitious initiative to reach out to all the beneficiaries of the flagship schemes. The event was inaugurated by Member of Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, who was the chief guest of the function held here.
Sharma attended a live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with the beneficiaries of Central government schemes from across the country in the auditorium of the DC office complex. The event was held as part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which received a warm welcome in the village panchayat.
To enhance public awareness and facilitate community engagement, various government departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Health, Animal Husbandry, Handloom and Handicraft joined forces to establish informative stalls showcasing their respective schemes.
Jugal Kishore interacted with the beneficiaries and appreciated their stories of transformation and development and took feedback from the public regarding the implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes. He inspected the stalls set up by different departments and praised their efforts in implementing the schemes effectively. He lauded the departments for achieving saturation of schemes and empowering women under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra witnessed a spectacular display of cultural diversity by Government Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi and Government Girls Higher Secondary School School Reasi who presented their captivating performance.
The ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ segment was particularly impactful, featuring firsthand accounts from beneficiaries sharing their success stories on PM SVANidhi, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Urban). These narratives highlighted the tangible benefits and positive changes brought about by the government’s welfare programs. The schemes have played a crucial role in empowering citizens, enhancing their quality of life, and contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. The MP also distributed Ayushman Cards, Pension Sanction Letters and Kissan Credit Cards to the beneficiaries.
