Tral, Apr 18: In observance of World Health Organization (WHO) Day, Syed Mantaqui Memorial College of Nursing and Medical Technology (SMMCNMT), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), in collaboration with Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral, organized a community awareness programme under the theme “Healthy Beginning, Hopeful Future.”
The event focused on promoting early healthcare interventions, maternal and child health, and preventive healthcare practices. A special family health awareness session addressed key areas such as immunization, nutrition counselling, antenatal care, and neonatal health. Educational talks were delivered on topics including adolescent health and immunization schedules, engaging both community members and healthcare staff.
The event witnessed active participation from local residents, healthcare professionals, and volunteers. The celebration highlighted the critical role of community-based health education in building a healthier and more informed society.
