Awantipora, March 24: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is set to organise a two-day national seminar on “The Role of the Indian Knowledge System in Promoting Digital Learning and Education”, scheduled for March 26–27.
Sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the seminar will bring together leading scholars, researchers, and experts to explore the relevance of India’s rich knowledge traditions in shaping contemporary digital education practices. The seminar will feature three distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Govind Singh, former Dean Academic Affairs at IIMC Delhi; Prof. Rakesh Vaid, Director of Poonch Campus, University of Jammu and Zareef Ahmed Zareef, renowned historian and poet. Their addresses will provide insights into integrating indigenous wisdom with modern digital pedagogy, preserving cultural heritage through online platforms, and promoting inclusive digital learning.
